BMW TechWorks Romania: A Year of Innovation, Accelerated Growth, and Global Impact

BMW TechWorks Romania, part of the BMW Group, celebrates one year since its official opening, marking an important milestone in the development of the technology center in Cluj-Napoca. In just 12 months, the team has nearly quadrupled to over 400 specialists, actively contributing to the digital transformation of the BMW Group and strengthening the hub’s role as a strategic partner in the company's global IT ecosystem.

In this first year of operation, BMW TechWorks Romania has delivered advanced software solutions for some of the most significant initiatives of the BMW Group. The company has played a crucial role in the adoption and utilization of Artificial Intelligence in the internal IT product portfolio.

A key differentiator for BMW TechWorks Romania in the Romanian IT market is the in-house development of BMW's software products, taking full responsibility (concept, design, development, testing, launch, and operation). Leveraging BMW's partnerships with hyper-scalers AWS and Salesforce, as well as local partners, the company's employees have benefited from a framework for learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among specialists, partners, and industry leaders.
